My Approach
A Gentle approach to newborn photography
Those first weeks are tender.
You’re tired.
You’re healing.
You’re learning this new rhythm.
My role as your Perth newborn photographer is to create calm. We move slowly. We pause for feeds. We follow your baby’s cues. There is no pressure for perfection, only space for connection.
Sessions can take place:
• In your home
• Outdoors in soft natural light
• Or inside my Jarrahdale studio
Your baby sets the pace. Always.
Your newborn session is a safe space to settle in and exhale.
Whether we’re in your home or inside my light-filled, earthy Jarrahdale studio, the atmosphere is calm and intentionally simple. Soft tones. Natural textures. Gentle light.
Everything is baby-led.
We pause for feeds.
We stop for cuddles.
We move with your newborn’s rhythm.
You don’t need to bring much. I provide a curated collection of swaddles, wraps, and simple newborn outfits in neutral, timeless tones. The studio is stocked with drinks, light snacks, and a small basket of toys to keep toddlers comfortable and occupied.
Older siblings are always welcome and we allow time for them to ease in naturally.
You’ll receive gentle guidance throughout, so you never feel unsure of what to do with your hands, your baby, or yourself.
This isn’t rushed.
There’s no pressure here.
Just a relaxed, unhurried experience designed around connection and safety.

• Or a calm studio session in my earthy, light-filled Jarrahdale space

Once you have chosen you 30 favourite images (optional gallery upgrades available) Your images will be retouched and sent back within 1-2 weeks after your selections.
Your proof gallery of all your images will be sent within 2-5 days after your session

The ideal time is within the first 5-14 days, when babies are still sleepy and curled. However, I photograph newborns at any stage. There is no "too late" here.
Newborn sessions are completely baby led. We allow time for feeding, cuddles and soothing. There is no rush and your babies comfort is always priority. Plus your in safe hands.
I provide swaddles, wraps and simple newborn outfits in soft, neutral tones. The studio is stocked with drinks, light snacks and a small basket of toys for older siblings.
You’re welcome to bring sentimental pieces if you wish.
Yes. Your baby’s safety and comfort are my highest priority. I use gentle, natural posing and never force a position. Every session moves at your baby’s pace and mostly in your arms.
I have completed my safe swaddle training and hold an updated whooping cough vaccination.
Absolutely. I allow space for toddlers to ease in naturally and capture connection in a relaxed way not forced smiles.
They will come and go.
Older children are also always welcome here.
